Practice Pulse
Live at three Antioch branches in the Western Cape

Chronic patients back.
Overdue accounts paid.

Practice Pulse recalls patients due for chronic consultations and reminds patients who owe the practice money. SMS first, WhatsApp next, then an automated call where configured. A reply stops the sequence.

Built by Dr Dominic Bass Works from monthly practice exports Results compared with a hold-back group

SMS is live at Antioch. WhatsApp and voice follow-up are being added in stages. The product demo uses synthetic data and sends nothing externally.

The revenue leak is quiet

The report exists. The follow-through doesn't.

Reception is managing claims, benefit checks, phones, and a queue at the desk. Chronic recall waits for a quiet day. The age analysis waits with it. Practice Pulse turns both lists into scheduled, measurable action — without asking reception to rebuild the list every month.

One schedule. Three touchpoints.

Follow up until the patient responds.

Each step goes only to people who have not replied to the one before. No diagnosis appears in any message. Opt-out ends the sequence.

DAY 1

SMS from your rooms

Patients due that month receive a concise message naming the practice and explaining how to reply.

DAY 4

WhatsApp follow-up

Only non-responders move to WhatsApp. Account reminders can include the practice's payment reference or link.

DAY 8 · RECALL

A short automated call

Remaining chronic-recall non-responders receive a short call where voice is enabled. The outcome stays against the file.

YOUR TEAM'S PART

Review the reply. Tap Booked.

That is the recurring reception task. Campaign sends, follow-ups, opt-outs, and reports stay in the same system.

The second revenue loop

The age analysis stops sitting in a drawer.

Import the latest age analysis. Practice Pulse creates a balance-based reminder queue, records replies and payments, and reconciles the outcome when the next export arrives.

  • Balance and payment-reference fields
  • SMS and WhatsApp reminder sequence
  • Replies, disputes, and payments recorded
  • Patient money stays with the practice

Measure the difference

Not just messages sent. What the messages changed.

For chronic recall, a random 10% of due patients can be held back from each campaign. Their return rate provides the baseline. Compare it with the messaged group before attributing extra visits or income.

Dr Dominic Bass, founder of Practice Pulse
Built for my own rooms first

“Antioch is practice number one. Every feature goes live there before it is offered to another practice.”

Dr Dominic Bass opened Antioch Medical Centre in Bellville South in 2018. It grew to three Western Cape branches — and chronic recall was the first task to slip. Practice Pulse grew out of that operational problem.

Straight answers

Before you sign.

My practice software already has a recall report. Why pay for this?

A report still waits for somebody to run it. Practice Pulse turns the export into a scheduled campaign, follows up non-responders, records the outcome, and compares results with a hold-back group.

What does reception have to do?

Review replies and tap Booked when a patient confirms. The sends, follow-ups, opt-outs, and campaign reporting are handled in one workflow.

Does Practice Pulse hold patient payments?

No. The operating model is for patient payments to go directly to the practice. Practice Pulse records the reminder and matches the later outcome; it does not need to hold patient money.

Is there a long contract?

The published operating terms are 30 days' notice, with no long lock-in. Confirm the final service agreement and data-deletion terms when onboarding.
