Practice Pulse
How results are measured

Count the difference — not just the activity.

A message count is not a business result. Practice Pulse separates delivery, response, booking, attendance, and payment.

01

Define the eligible batch

Start with the same due-date and consent rules for every patient. Record who was eligible before any messages go out.

02

Hold back a random 10%

For chronic-recall campaigns, withhold messaging from a random comparison group where appropriate. Account-reminder campaigns can use a different approved evaluation design.

03

Record real outcomes

Reception confirms bookings. Attendance is confirmed separately. Payments are matched to the reminder or to a reduced balance in the next age analysis.

04

Compare like with like

Compare return rates in the messaged and hold-back groups. Attribute only the difference, list assumptions, and avoid strong claims from very small batches.
